Deregistration Policy
Please Review Our Policy Below
YOUR PRACTICE LOSES UP TO 33% OF ITS CLINICAL TIME EACH WEEK DUE TO PATIENTS FAILING TO ATTEND OR CANCEL THEIR DENTAL APPOINTMENT AT SHORT NOTICE.
Wasted appointment means:
- Other patients have to wait longer for their appointments
- Higher costs to the practice
- Restricts access to patients in urgent need of dental care
REMEMBER THAT YOUR FAILED APPOINTMENT IS ANOTHER PATIENTS DENIED APPOINTMENT.
DNA POLICY
To reduce impact of FAILED APPOINTMETS, your practice has developed a new ‘Did Not Attend Policy’
- All patients MUST give at least 48 hours’ notice to change or cancel their appointment. This means that your appointment can be offered to another patient to avoid wasting clinical time.
- Any patient that fails to attend their appointment or fails to provide 48 hours’ notice of cancellation, will be charged a fee. The fee amount will be dependent on the length of the appointment – our standard fee is €15.
- If a patient consistently fails to attend their appointment or provide 48 hours’ cancellation notice, we may seek to deregister the patient from our books.
Electronic reminder
Please ensure that the practice has your current contact details including Mobile and Email addresses so that electronic reminders can be sent.
Please ensure that you always leave the practice with your next appointment.
