At Grange Dental, it’s our priority that you receive the necessary treatment as soon as possible. Whether it’s alleviating pain, reducing swelling, or addressing infections, we’re here to get you back to feeling normal. Our team will also provide guidance on how to speed up your recovery.

If you’re in severe pain or discomfort, contact Grange Dental immediately for emergency care and aftercare, available for you and your family.

For common dental emergencies, we’ll offer advice to help you manage until your appointment. Our reception team is always available to assist with any questions or concerns over the phone.

For pain relief, take painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen (for both pain and swelling), but be sure not to exceed the recommended dosage.

A cold compress on your cheek and rinsing your mouth with saltwater can also help. Avoid hot or cold food and drinks, and try not to lie down, as this can worsen the pain.

Orajel, available at pharmacies, provides temporary numbing relief until you can see your dentist.

If you lose an adult tooth, hold it by the crown (not the root). Rinse it gently with cold water or lick it clean. If you can, try to re-insert the tooth. If not, store it in milk, saliva, or inside your cheek.

Bite down on a clean cloth to control bleeding and keep it in place until you see a dentist. Do not attempt to re-insert a baby tooth, as this can harm the adult tooth beneath.
